Bill Gates is worth about $81.7 billion
In a move that is not surprising to many, the creator of Microsoft, Bill Gates has announced that his children will get nothing out of his £70billion fortune, that instead he would leave it all to charity when he dies. While speaking on a popular tv show,ITV’s ‘This Morning’ Bill Gates, whose net worth is estimated at$81.7 billion, said his kids understand his decision and are supportive of it.60-year-old Bill Gates said during the show:“Well, our kids receive a great education and some money but they will go out and have their own careers.”

Many expect, that his children, two daughters and a son would get billion-dollar trust funds, however Gates states that giving them moneywould affect them negatively, and hewanted them to have their own careers.He said he was sure the children were going to be okay, saying:“They are never going to be poorly off. It’s not a favour to kids to have them have huge sums of wealth. It distortsanything they might do, creating their own path.”The Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation to which most of his money will go was set up to fund health and education projects around the world.
Gates concluded:“This money is dedicated to helping the poorest. They know that, they are proud of that, they go on trips with us to see the work that’s being done.”Meanwhile, the Nigerian first lady, Aisha Buhari spent her day in New York with Melinda Gates
discussing issues related to Sexual and Reproductive Health of the girl child, when she attended the United Nations general assembly.
