Gbege! Leaked phone conversation between a female student of OAU and her professor who wants to have sex with her 5 times before she can pass his course

Dakingsweb has received a telephone recording alleging to be between a female student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Osun State.

In the 4-minute conversation, the female student is heard begging her professor who insists on having sex with her 5 times before she passes else he'll make her repeat the course the following year.

The professor went on to accuse the female student of lying about doing her montly period earlier just to scare him off, he also went on to say, 'so now that you have finished you period, has your boyfriend done it'?

Dakingsweb can not independently verify the authenticity of the recording but in the conversation, the female student boldly called out the proffesor's name and he was quick to warn her not to mention his name on phone again.

Legal Icon, Afe Babalola - Bad leadership has turned Nigerians into beggars

Legal Icon and Senior Advocate, Chief Afe Babalola, has attributed the pervasive poverty and hunger in Nigeria to bad leadership.

Babalola, who said the culture of begging was alien to the Yoruba race in the past, lamented that bad leadership has turned virtually all Nigerians into beggars, particularly in southwest Nigeria.

In a chat with Vanguard, the founder of  Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, ABUAD, said the Yoruba people had deep resentment for begging in the 40s and 50s, adding that ”today, they have seen begging as a way of life, contrary to what they believed in , because of poverty caused by bad governance.”

Babalola said this in Ado Ekiti, yesterday, when the leadership of the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria, PCN, paid a visit to ABUAD on assessment tour of the Pharmacy Department of the newly commissioned 400-bed Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, ABUTH.

He said: “today, Nigeria is at a crossroad. The Yoruba were not used to begging in the 40s and 50s, they used to stone beggars because they viewed it as a shameful act.  But today, go to occasions and see how well dressed people beg for money. That was why we want to join the change agents using our university as a model even ABUAD is synonymous with change.

Bashir Dodo, Nigerian born PhD candidate wins 'Best Student Paper' in Portugal

Bashir Dodo, a Katsina State born PhD candidate has won 'Best Student Paper' at the BIOIMAGING 2018 conference in Portugal, for the development of a new algorithm which could improve the speed and accuracy of diagnosis for certain eye diseases.

Doctoral candidate Bashir Dodo, from Brunel University London's Department of Computer Science, demonstrated a new algorithm for OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) equipment which can automatically segment images of the retina into distinct layers.

It's hoped the new technique, which can separate the retina into seven individual layers, could improve the accuracy and speed of diagnosis, and help save the sight of patients by identifying damage earlier.

Ade Ojeniyi, a Nigerian Chief Physician, and professor of veterinary medicine, has been conferred with an award, the Knighthood of The Dannebrog Order of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Ojeniyi told newsmen on the telephone from Grindsted, Denmark on Saturday that the award was given to him on Jan.5. by Queen Margrethe 11 of Denmark. Prof. Ade Ojeniyi, recipient of an award by the government of Denmark

This is one of the highest awards in Denmark. It was established in 1683 by the King of Denmark.

“I was given the award because of my enormous contribution to health and humanity. The Southern Regional government in Denmark recommended me for it and the Queen granted it,” Ojeniyi said.

The don said in 2007, he introduced the vaccination against cervical cancer in Greenland.

“ As the chief Physician and Medical Adviser to the government of Greenland, I introduced the vaccination against cervical cancer in 2007. I made Greenland the first country in the world to start vaccinating girls against cervical cancer,” he said.

Ojeniyi said that he had been a visiting professor at the University of Texas in Houston for 18 years. He said that after the Sept. 11, 2001, attack, the university chose him to deliver a lecture on biological weapons and had been working with the university since then.

Ojeniyi said that he was happy to get the award because it was a victory for Nigeria and Africa. “ I dedicate the award to the continent of Africa and her people. I am a representative of the continent, which is the origin of mankind,” he said.

In Nekede, Imo State: NYSC member shot dead

Justice, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)  was gunned down in Nekede, Imo State on Friday.

According to friends, the Federal Polytechnic Nekede graduate was shot dead by unknown gunmen at a drinking bar where he was hanging out with friends.

The deceased was undergoing his his compulsory youth Service program in Cross River State.

Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) : Four final year students design a campus surveillance drone in Imo State

Four final year students from the engineering department in Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) have constructed a quadcopter surveillance drone for the university campus as a school project.

The students; Ekeh Isidore, Kizito Onyema, Aloysius Nwokedike and John Kenedy Kalu made the drone with a wood constructed Controller and First Person View (FPV) system, the drone pilot sees the video footage of the campus in real time.

Amadi Junior Ralph, Final year student of Imo State University, dies few weeks to his graduation

Amadi Junior Ralph, a 400L student of the faculty of Business Administration, Imo State University, has died.

According to reports, he died after he slumped and landed with his head while descending the staircase in his family compound in Rivers state, where he had gone for Christmas.

He was meant to graduate by July as a second class upper student. He will be buried on Saturday January 13, 2018.

African scholar and Havard professor, Calestous Juma is dead!

Renowned scholar, Prof Calestous Juma is dead. Late Prof Juma, who was listed among most reputable people on earth in 2017, died in Boston, in the US.

Until his death, Juma was a Professor of the Practice of International Development, the Director of the Science, Technology, and Globalisation Project at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Faculty Chair of the Mason Fellows Program.

In addition, he served as Faculty Chair of the Edward S. Mason Fellows Program as well as Faculty Chair of the “Innovation for Economic Development” and “Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Africa” executive programmes.

Juma is a former Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and Founding Director of the African Centre for Technology Studies in Nairobi.

He co-chaired the African Union’s High-Level Panel on Science, Technology and Innovation. He is on the jury of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, the Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation, and the Africa Food Prize.

The incident happened in front of a Total fuel station close to the school on Dec 6th. Her brain was crushed in the accident and she died on the spot.

JAMB Registration For UTME 2018 Begins

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board said it has begun registration for the 2018 unified tertiary matriculation examinations (UTME).

The exam body said the registration would take place in over 700 computer based test (CBT) centres in 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The organization’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the exercise would end in February next year.

The statement reads, “We will also want to state clearly that the board does not post candidates to any examination town other than the one chosen by the candidate at the point of registration.

“Candidates are, however, advised to register on time before the available spaces in their town of choice are exhausted.

“The registration exercise started on Wednesday 6th December, 2017 and as at today so many candidates have text their names using their phone numbers to 55019 and got their profile registered. After which they equally proceeded to the CBT centres for registration.

“The exercise from our tour of centres today clearly showed that this is one of the best registration regime of the board in recent time. It is easy, smooth and hitch free. This system is simple and convenient, candidates are requested to do it themselves to avoid being defrauded by anybody.

“Candidates can purchase the e -pins using their ATM or through Interswitch, Remita and other online platforms at the comfort of their homes.

“The Board offices are available for any challenge encountered by candidate while trying to obtain the e -pin to register for the 2018 exercise.

“Candidates who desire to register for the optional mock are also urged to do so as the platform will be withdrawn by the 30th of December, 2017 and only those who registered and indicated their interest on or before that time will be enlisted to participate.

“The board again reiterated its avowed commitment to conduct a hitch free examination and advance the cause of any Nigerian child desirous of qualitative tertiary education in the country. This is the beginning of the 2018 process.”
